Wednesday Ramblings

Random Thought 1:
Spring is in the air!  I am loving the warm weather.

But, tornadoes in February?!  That's just unheard of in the Bluegrass state.

Unfortunately, it happened here today, to a small town not far from where I grew up.  My heart hurts for them.

Random Thought 2:
My darling Hubby bought me "The Vow" last night.  I am super excited to start reading it!

Have I mentioned lately how much I love him?

Random Thought 3:
I'm seriously considering deleting my Facebook account.  I have wayyyy too much social media in my life right now!  Facebook is beginning to take away from the time I should be spending in the Word and from time I should be devoting to Hubby.

What do you all think of Facebook?

Random Thought 4:
Speaking of Hubby...he conducted Bible study service at our church tonight.  I am so proud of him and the Godly way that he leads our family.

His religious background is so different from mine (but that's another post for another day), so it makes me extra proud to see how far he's come.

Random Thought 5:
Our local Farmer's Market opens for the season on April 7th and I could not be any more ready!  The fruits and veggies that I canned last summer are running on short supply!  I am ready for some summer canning sessions...brings out my inner hippie.

And, I totally could have been a hippie in the 60's.  But I would have been a conservative hippie.  Is that an oxymoron?  Probably so.

Random Kid Picture:
This is Sweet Pea, my youngest niece.  Presh?  I think so too!

Have a blessed week!

We live in tornado alley, and the devesation is something you still never get used to. :( So sad!

I've been Facebook-free for over a year. It was a huge waste of time and totally worth ditching. Not to mention, it cheapened so many friendships.

I can't wait for the Farmers Market to open up here, too! Hopefully we have a better growing season this year than last!

So horrible about the tornadoes. I feel terrible for them. I am here in N AL and we are familiar with tornadoes too. Actually under tornado watch all day tomorrow =/
Hopefully mother nature is good to everyone!

Tornados are so sad and scary!! ahh!! I can't imagine having one near me, there's basically never been a tornado in Maine. We have blizzards and that's it.

I've thought about deleting my facebook account. Lately it's been making me feel really bad about myself, like causing me to fall into the trap of comparing myself to others ALL. THE. TIME. It's crummy. But there are some ladies in there that are good friends of mine that for specific reasons I have no other way to contact. So I guess I just need to be on there less. Easier said than done ughh. I like Twitter better, I never thought I'd say that!

I know what you mean about Facebook! It does cause us to compare ourselves to others, which just makes me feel terrible. I have a lot of family on mine that are long-distance and Facebook is a wonderful way to keep in touch. But like you said, I really need to get on less because it totally takes up wayyyy too much of my time and then I feel bad for being on there so much. I like Twitter better too. :)
